A Wild Adventure of Reading and Writing!
Come ride with Cowboy
Steve and his friends as they take your students on a brand new
reading and tumbleweed adventure. Like all of his
programs, this show includes costuming, puppets, magic, music,
audience participation and a strong message about using the
resources in the library!
This time, Cowboy Steve
and the students at your school help old Tux (a penguin with
an attitude) write a story for Cowboy Digest Magazine.
Tux needs help with descriptive language, character development, plot
twists and other writing tools, and we do our best to help
him. The kids at every show will help create a unique
story that teaches them how to become better writers!
To help Tux understand the elements of a good story, we will be looking
at lots of books including award winners, books that have been made into
movies, classic children's books and folk tales from across this great land
of ours. Filled with book talks, storytelling, and a neat moral
at the end of the show, this program drives home the importance of good
writing.
A gifted teacher, Steve
combines a unique blend of “education and entertainment”
to creatively teach your students about an amazing part of our country’s
history. Using books, magic tricks, drama, puppets, stories, and
music Steve makes the old west come to life! Reading and learning
have never been so much fun!
